You would need to conver the video to a format youtube accepts (.avi, .mov, .wmv etc...)

You could maybe use windows movie maker to save it out as .wmv (although I haven't tried this).

What I use is Virtualdub http://www.virtualdub.org/ and either the xvid http://www.xvid.org/ or divx http://www.divx.com/ codec to save the file as .avi
