I bet you thought I was talking dirty to you........ In Thai there are no spaces between words, but as we use the comma, to seperate phrases.
Many languages combine words with different meanings to create yet another meaning, or join several words with similar meaning to emphasize something.
Thai is particularly difficult to translate word by word because of this.
