The 109 F-G-K series had a storage well under the breech of the nose cannon for collection the spent cartridges for later emptying.
I think there were also receiving bins for the cowling MGs but I am not sure as what I am thinking of may have been ejection chutes (opening to the outside world) rather than bins - I would have to check my collection of 109 stuff...
