Just went out and bought a new DVD of IL-2 1946 $20 and modded it. It was the order of installation that was key. I can't remember now what order I did the mods in but wow what a difference. Looking to get som funds in my paypal account to contribute a bit.
Installed the switcher when the mod activator seemed to send the game back to 4.08 from 4.09 and ran the 4.09 mod-on.exe to get back t 4.09.
Nevver once saw crylic this time.
NO-DVD patch was included.
Bombs away awsome sounds and craters.
Just need to re-tweak the video settings for the 8800GT.
