When I am on a test flight with new mods or on new maps I always take a looks at the fps. You can make an easy command to see your fps.
1. Go into your main game folder. There is a file called "rcu".
2. open the file with your editor and modify it this way:
When you are flying you can opend your console whith SHIFT+TAB an than write
on
Now you can see a fps display with some usefull informations. If you want to switch it off you only have to write
off
into the console
