Request for a "True" Sim Error Fix.....
#1

Hi All;

So many aspects of the sim can be debated as right or wrong to rediculous degrees be it performance of an aircraft or weapon, or features that were on "some" aircraft, yet not all of a type. However, there IS a glaring though very minimal error I'd like to see fixed in the sim. It does not affect performance, and is really a minor thing (so hopefully as minor to fix).

That being, the black venturi on the left side of the Ki-61-I-Ko/Otsu/Hei fuselage above the air intake as can be seen here:

This tiny component used on all of the models is quite simply wrong. Only 3-5 known Ki-61 of the 244th Hikousentai ever had the thing installed. There has been great debate over why. Some stating it was for the addition of an artificial horizon gauge, others a prototype gyro gunsight, still others that it was a bandaid fix the normal vaccuum drawn from the supercharger intake.

In either case, the component quite simply would not of been on 99.99999% of the Ki-61's in service. So it would be great if it could be removed as it makes every screen shot from that side "wrong".

As a secondary request, I'd really like to see the Ki-61-Id or Tei made as a new aircraft model. This I assume would be a much simpler thing to do then many of the other new aircraft builds. In actuallity, it was THE most produced Ki-61 ever the Ko making up 388, the Otsu 592, the Hei 400, and finally the Tei 1,358.........

To make this aircraft would require the following:
1. Utilize the Ki-61-Otsu model.
2. Stretch out the space for the guns between the cockpit and engine a minor amount.
3. change the 12.7mm guns to 20mm cannon in the nose (simply using Ki-100 armament)
4. The most significant change a slightly enlarged tail.
5. Change in weight and therefor top speed.

Other then that most of the changes were internal simplification........It a sorely lacking version.
