Spitfire F Mk IX (1942 - Channel)

This site - http://folk.uio.no/hungnes/avia/spitfire/mkixvar.htm - has a few errors, but the detail drawings may be useful. It also gives a description of many of the changes (which saves me typing it out)

I'd also forgotten about the wheel blisters... :oops: But their absence is evident in the photos above, should have remembered.

Of particular note for the F.IX is the changing form of the carburettor intake under the nose. The Vc conversions would have the same intake as the MkV, but the others have the shorter form of the IX, and then there was the elongated one with the Aero-vee filter in it.

This photo shows the middle version of the intake, which would probably be the one you'd want to model?
