The smoke trail is from a fighter on fire that got out of the composition for half a second.
Today I have tried several times to get a third version, with other formations of B-24 in the upper left corners and in the lower right corner dropping the bombs at same time; In the meantime than a KI-61 on fire gets across the central formation and gunners shoot like madmen. Over-ambitious, synchronizing more than 25 AI. In any attempt the result was completely satisfactory.
