OK I added the text to the air.ini and the plane_ru.properties with notepad.

Now I get to 60% and crash back to the desktop.

In my main il2 folder I also have a folder named AIR_INI

Yet my other modded install doesn't??

I did backup the ini and properties files.

there shouldn't be any Air_ini folder in game root directory .... but it is irrelevant cos game doesn't load it anyway .

did you update your weapon_ru.properties as well ?
