I never said bomb skimming in IL2 was particularly realistic. I just meant it was possible in game. but on the subject of skimming stuff on water, the dambuster bomb was originally carried in a wooden crate. That skimmed twice, then shattered and the bomb bounced out and skimmed for a bit longer. There's fottage. Its what made Barnes Wallis and his team make the bomb be carried the way it was for the raid.
