Hi dogtail. Sorry to hear you are having so many problems - modding can be like that sometimes 
Although I don't think that the language problem you have had would have affected your campaign in that way (american tempests) and I believe the tempest went into service mid '44 or so, so you should expect to see them around - though historically in small numbers... definately not American though :evil: that would annoy me too. is that one of the addon campaigns you are using? I would have thought they would have done their research better...
I don't know what can be done to alter the campaign you are in at the moment, I'm sure someone around here must. I would however recommend you try IL2 DCG (dynamic campaign generator) as they are much better than the originals, and addons.
