If you still got the Eng_soundmod_v9X setup file then install it in a folder you created on desktop. Then open this folder search for the "files" --> "presets" --> "sounds" --> "motor.Jumo211". Copy the "motor.Jumo211" and open the folders in the same way in your installed IL-2 directory. Then paste in with rightclick and overwrite the old file. Now you should hear the original sound again.
