Yes Holy., I agree completely with you about big-black smoke behind damaged planes you fire and that's why I prefer your finding solution of "medium" damage fire in in-flight damaged planes. I hope you've not misunderstood about my point 4)- I was talking about CRASHED smoke planes because I randomly have the thin-long smoke column as default effect when they crash (I have randomly black-mushroom crash-smoke too about 50% of the two effect..very strange.(?).
1) About making a little more dark-red fire colour (less yellow-transparent fire colour) I think you can solve it working on .tga gamma of .tga fire textures you have put into the pakage.
2) I've seen your tremendous work about how many sequence-script lines you have put into DamageFire.txl and the sequence is very well done 8) intermitence rendering too: very realistic (me too I've seen jap fire sequence into real guncam clip you are right they're very short moment.... I just (for my exclusive taste) would like to add 1" live more in the intermittence if only jou could tell me wich lines I've to add/alter into Damagefire.txl file to obtain this effect.
3) In your .gif clip really there is a moment when fire "go away" mixing with the leaving smoke and I first I've think this was from "Hit_Effect mod" you told you still have running into your mod folder, so I added It too in my one but this was not the solution to obtain this great +effect at your sequence.Can you dig more about this? SUGGESTION: Ehinancing this secondary fire-behaviour (1-2 stripe of it leaving with the smoke and disappearing) I think it will add a big hock: at your jet even good mod-pack..
About resouces comsumption of Pc I think you can not be worried about: I think all of us who use Il2-game nowadays have a quite powerful CPU-GPU and memory to sbustain even 10 fire planes right now... Good work and tell me If i can help in some manner, I'm at your disposal. regards.
