bigbossmalone Wrote:BC, I use a Logitech FFB stick,(Force 3DPro). I've never been very happy with the tension. In fact, I took it back to the shop thinking it was faulty, when they told me that's what it's like. It has a very low tension, so basically almost no 'centre' position. I find myself sometimes struggling to fly in a relatively straight line, with the elevators being the biggest problem. Changing the tension in the setup seems to make little/no difference.
If it gets too bad, I use another stick, one with no FFB...but then I miss the added immersion of the FFB.
Had a LogiTech FFB earlier (I think it was the same one) and I was constantly frustrated with it. Every time I started to line up to land or plaster the enemy the control stick would go limp. Turns out that the stick has a IR reflective sensor to ensure you can't 'hurt' your hand if you're not white knuckling the bloody thing all the time.
Sensor opening (small rectangular cutout) is located on the right side of the stick. Taped a piece of aluminium foil to reflect the IR (no Tin Foil Hat jokes please) over the sensor opening - bingo! FFB all the time.
Hope this helps....
