Well, I've seen many reticles today that are also 60+ years old and they still put the yellow lights under them to preserve its "authenticity." I mean... I'm pretty sure they would have put a yellow light if they wanted to... after all, it looks like a museum, and therefore historically researched?? So maybe they know?

Just my opinion anyways.
