For some reason, my earlier post displays as a blank message, though the text is there if I try to edit it.... re-post!
I have a couple of small requests:
1. Should be a very easy plane to create, but sorely missed by all of us four-engine freaks:
B-24D
2. I'd also greatly appreciate seeing better loadouts for the B-24J, B-17E, B-17F and B-17G.
3. A nice fix for the B-17F would be to have it use the ball turret from the G so all of the windows are transparent. Also a B-17E with the Sperry ball turret. Very, very few B-17Es saw combat with the remotely controlled turret we have on the E right now.
4. Correct (change) the squadron/plane markings on the B-17F to math those used on the G. Three digit numbers? No B-17F ever carried marks like that. We want real 8th Air Force markings!
5. A much bigger project would be to fix several of the skin mapping issues with the B-17 series. The engine cowlings are a horrible mess and the ailerons and rudder halves use mirrored parts even though the individual parts are there on the skin.
6. YB-40?
I would be more than willing to tackle any of #2-5 if I knew how to go about doing the work.
