I don't use the files.txt file, I think the 'Mods' folder makes it obsolete?

It depends on which mod activator was used with which sound files as I understand it.

Since switched to the AAA installer and Sounds 0.93 and now to SFX 0.8 with its aircraft installer, I also do not use the files.txt file.

It certainly is more standardized but requires care on which sounds are selected in the activator menu.
