My WW2 models
#1

Guys I don't build static models much anymore. But I have been flying RC for years now and my favorite of course has always been WW2. Although the odd WW1 bird gets in there sometimes.

A lot of them are from kits. Some what we call ARFs. Almost ready to fly. And others completely from scratch.

The Luft 46 stuff always fascinated me. So about 2 years ago I scratch built and molded composite versions of the ME P. 1101 and the famous TA-183. The 1101 was easy to get flying but the TA-183 was another story. Lots of test flights and scary handling and a year later she flew on rails.

Both are being sold as kits now as I sold my molds to a model RC airplane company. After making them myself it became a chore and less of a hobby. I got a belly full of epoxy fumes and long days and nights.

Here's a few pictures and and you can visit my web site for more of my models. www.sneillfx.com not all are planes you'll find I made some RC subs and surfaces craft as well. The odd tank. Can't live without a few tigers and mark 3's now can we?

My wife got me this for Christmas. This is one of those ARFs. All wood built and pre-covered. You just put the basics together and put in your gear. I added a few things to make it more scale.

Me and my 1101 out for another sortie.

And my larger scale TA-183. Both scratch built with retracts.
