I was wondering how one gets fighter planes to escort bombers? Aside from setting up identical waypoints for both flights that is. Which is usually pointless anyway since how can anyone anticipate what will happen during a mission?
I suppose it has something to do with the 'set' command for waypoints, but I still haven't gotten it to work like I think it should.
If I make one 'set' command, the escorts will simply stay behind, circling the first waypoint, and if I make duplicate flightpaths, with all the waypoints connected by a 'set' command, the escorts will stay on their flightpath, even if the primary plane deviates radically.
That doesn't seem to me to be the purpose of having an escort if they go their own way no matter what.
So, obviously I'm doing something wrong. but what?
