I have two of my squad mates working on the Lancaster, along with me. The original concept was to use the commercial model. After some time, and many discussions, we decided it would be, at best, usable only as a reference point. Some, minor parts of these models are usable, to a degree, but its much easier to simply start afresh.
Like wise, with this. It would be easier to build it from scratch, and isn't as much of a difficult task as you'd think - a lot of work, yes, but not difficult. Ultimately, its quicker than the modification, and lets face it, in a lot of ways, correction, of a commercial model (or even one designed for use in another sim).
Once you get the basics down, you won't have much of a problem.
