So, I suppose a Mustang III mod with a K-14 sight would in fact be historically correct!
Absolutely! Although, the Mk IIC Gyro would be more correct....

If Mr Jolly is up for a mod, I have ample evidence for the widespread use of the Mk II GGS in Fighter Command Mustang IIIs by early 1945.
