IIRC, I don't believe that the K-14 was installed at the factory until the D-25. Every K-14 in use by 8th AAF Mustangs from July '44 til the last few weeks of the war were installed in-theater either at the unit, or at depot level.
It appears that Martin confirms that ADGB/Fighter Command Mustang III's were fitted with MK II GGSs in the same manner.
