Phillip - yes, you've got it wrong 
The map will use Compans textures and also my new English houses (arranged to follow the road pattern on the textures) so it will look great from low down and high up. I just hadn't populated London when I placed Parliament.
Yardstick - that's a good point. Perhaps I'll dirty it up a little.
