thank you for trying them all , each mod have something different , Mod#3 with original 3rdeye smoke mod have this long black finger and much bigger mushrooms .
I tried to deal with it in Mod#1 and Mod#2 with smoother black smoke trail behing planes and minimizing the black mushroom issue .
I know 100% that those mushrooms are not there forewer , it takes about 20 seconds and mushroom is dissipating completely .
Decent light smoke from groud fires is something I think that can be dealth with .
Will take a look in to it .
I already started working on new set of smoother smokes without any frame hit and removing this ugly 2D smoke that is still in it .
Potenz was unavailable for few days and today he should be continuing work on oil blotch animated textures and once we will put together something good looking with Beta release , I will finish hopefully these new smokes .

thank you for letting me know about SLI , I can also set up my puter with SLI but I am somewhat hesitating .
I also prefer to run single card , it's less complicated and those 8800GT's and other newer card models can handle a lot in single mode .
As my Iowa neighbor with Illinois , there is some serious sh.t coming our way , I smell Ice Age all over again .
These freezing temperatures are absolutely out of charts :roll:
Each winter is lately getting worse and worse.
