In this difficult maneuver you must be a master at stall recovery!
First, you jam the stick into your gut. Note, not a slow pull, you must pull fast enough to stall the aircraft.
Then, push full bottom rudder, causing the nose to drop.
Finally, push the stick full forward. This neutralizes the effect.

1 - Correct, you risk shock stall and a possible spin afterward, so height for recovery might be an issue
2 - You have bled off aircraft energy by this manoever and will definitely have lost speed, an important factor in air to air combat.
3 - The manoever might not get you out of the enemies sights - it depends on how far away he is. The further he is the least effective your maneover is, and you might actually be helping him catch up.
4 - Unless yor engine can tolerate negative G, you just lost power
5 - You haven't gained any tactical advantage unless the enemy is close and overshoots you underneath
6 - You might be risking overloading the aircraft structure, especially if already damaged.
7 - You might find the physical sensations (not an issue in IL2) are uncomfortable and quick action against enemy response wouldn't be so easy.
8 - You lose sight of the enemy behind you.
A better alternative might be a barrel roll. The AI does this already. Reactive tactics like this are necessary for survival, but the trick is to tirn it to your advantage in the process.
