The difference in behavior in the AI Fw190 is quite noticeable and very welcome indeed. I saw both the negative gee pushover and the split-S for the deck as an evasive tactic. Very nice! Even the most casual student of Luftwaffe tactics couldn't fail to read dozens of accounts of this most common (if perhaps misguided) escape maneuver. Something entirely lacking in the Il-2 series - until today
Managed to give one Dora a real pasting as it pushed over into a negative gee dive. Saw strikes over the belly and it went from the pushover to an uncontrolled spin in a very convincing manner. Much too low to pull out too. One of those moments that makes you wince in sympathy.
Seems to be an epic piece of work this. 10/10 from me
