.... to teach you how to catch a fish , instead of giving you just one ....


way 1:

1 obtain desired map files ( sfs extractor)
2 get Photoshop or Gimp
3 get color swatches for textures ( map tools section)
4 open desired map file in editor ( PS or Gimp...)
5 hand paint or make desired pattern for texture slots
* no blurring allowed , use pencil tool
6 save as 8bit grayscale tga ( no text. compression)

way2 :

1 get unlocked FMB, part of basic map tools pack ( map tools forum section)
2 read readme
3 read it again
4 load desired map in unlockedFMB
5 get into 3d mode
6 select tiles and apply desired texture directly on desired map area (just like placing an object)
7 save it
8 copy new map files from "saving" folder to "loading" .... for more : tool's readme file

* unlockedFMB is not FMB+ !
