The hotkeys mod in conjunction with the HUDconfig mod allows you to have much closer gradients, as little as 1 foot, check this thread out;

Yep, I know... but this doesn't affect to height and speed increments of bombsights.
So to hit the single tank you need to fly as close as possible to some parameters to miniize an error.
