you speak of an intervalometer. i've used one in an A-10 to do as you described. the macro suggestion mentioned won't work when using the bombsight automation. As the sight ticks down to it's drop point, it salvos it's stick of bombs. this is when an intervalometer would then be used to control the timing of how long it takes to release the salvo.

i understand your suggestion and i would use it if it was built. the down side is that, in the sim so far, most targets that are made by mission builders are tactical. i see very few carpet bombing missions of entire large cities where this would be useful.
