thanks for your help Mcwolf, im not sure what is wrong but it has something to do with my open Gl settings, i switched my game to direct x and all works fine, better looking water and landscape is not as important to me as replacing those god awful default markings, my driver dettings were already up to date but my card is old and proberbly needs replacing.
thanks again for doing so well on what was at first done so badly.

EDIT: their is somekind of conflict with diffrent driver versions on my system somewere thats stopping open GL from working properly (now if i only knew how to fix it)

You can try uninstall your existing driver, clean with Driver Sweeper , download from here

reboot, then install new driver

Download new DLL, rebuild your conf.ini, check again. wish it help.
