tsb47 Wrote:Hey Aussie. Assigning mixture controls to your throttle slider can't be done in IL2 without using an extra program - which I can't remember right now (the link is on my work computer!). Anyway this program basically listens to your throttle inputs and you can program it so that certain ranges of the slider correspond to certain mixture levels through translation into keypresses. I'll see whether I can dig up the link tomorrow.
If you don't mind searching for it, I'm sure i found the link on the simpit sticky thread in the official Ubi forums....
Hi tsb47, i tried finding that link but didn't find too much info.
Even when i assign key comands on my keyboard to adjust the mixture, they don't work. I don't see the mixture lever in the cockpit moving or hear any change in engine sound or rpm, i can't even stop the engine by leaning out the mixture to much.
My saitek quadrant comes with a programme to do what you were saying above. It assigns key responces along the levers axis route of movement so at one point it will trigger one key response and then move the lever a bit more and it will trigger another key responce, ie being 20% mixture then 40% and so on. It's just that i can't even get the keys to respond...wierd.
