Don't worry - even though it seems like it, it won't go on forever. There are a few more buildings I want to make, and then I can populate the map. City and road textures are being worked on by someone for me, so once the cities are in place I just need to finish the last few airfields that need updating.

I just looked at your French village buildings and I remember in rural France in the 60's the distinctive manure/straw piles out front near the roads.
