Read this old thread by Spectre at M4T. Generating River Traffic
This is being used to generate traffic on the rivers that aren't deep enough for ship traffic.
Use an aircraft to get your waypoints instead of stationary objects and you can run the mission without having to remove the stationary objects.
You can transition from water to land doing this too.
Helpful if you want to run a landing craft all the way up onto the beach.
