...and I spent 3 days with him at a "Warbirds", the online game, convention in 2000. Discussed bomber escort tactics with him 1 on 1 for nearly an hour. I asked him what he feared the most. His answer was astounding.....The friendly bomber gunners. Said they'd shoot at anything. High cover didn't just happen, it was FORCED!

Great guy and a long weekend to remember.
