Excellent work, Waggel! It's good to see that you put so much time into being historically accurate.
And I don't really remember where I got this, but it's a .zip file containing Photoshop colour swatch palettes for those of you with Photoshop or a program that can read PS presets. It has the standard colours for most of the nations in IL-2, and some of the colours contain tooltips on where they're used on the aircraft.
Hope it's of use to some people, and if there's any reason someone doesn't like it being uploaded, I'll take it down. It probably came with a readme once upon a time, but I seem to have lost it...as for how to use it, you put the .aco files Photoshop > Presets> Colour Swatches, and it should work with PS 7 and newer. (I apologize for the Rapidshare link, but that's all I have - on the bright side, it's a premium account, so there oughtn't to be a limit for downloads.)
However! A warning: don't take this as holy writ of historical paint schemes as I don't know the source; go with what you think looks right with the weathering and effect you want.

Best wishes and happy skinning!
