I know we get a lot of requests and some members find that quite annoying, but honestly this should be at the absolute top of the 'to do' list. Why it is completely passed over in most sims is beyond me as it was one of Germany's main bombers and recce aircraft from the outbreak of war and it remained one of the more commonly-encountered types well into it. The Do-17 is essential for any Battle of Britain campaign and the 215 and 217 for the following sweeps by the RAF, where it was engaged frequently. I'm not sure on its use on the Eastern front, but I'd hazard a guess that it was similarly extensive.

I personally would begin on this, but I'm still completely new to modelling aircraft, let alone doing so for Il-2... ideally, the next project taken on by one of our more proficient modders should be this aircraft and its variants. I don't mind waiting for current projects to be completed but to be honest I'd rather see this started next rather than any more fantasy-waffe or even '50s aircraft which are next on the list.
