I think you guys are on to something here - I have always been interested in a greater variety of meteorology, and including cloud formations as moving objects is a wonderfully simple - in concept - means of achieving at least some variety in this regard.
You could construct formations of different sizes and cloud types, and weather fronts that had a (roughly) straight edge across a map, or a rounded edge, or as in some weather fronts, a spiral system.
And if they were under one of the Object Files in FMB that permitted movement it would add quite a scope of variety.
We already know that the art part of this is well in hand amongst the stable of modders.
I think the glove has been dropped.
