A question on damage effects in IL2

I'm not talking about any "random failures" here, only the failures caused by battle damage due to hits taken to the aircraft.

The only thing i've experienced once so far, on the gear-damage, was that 1 wheel+gearstrut was shot out of my wing completely by a flak hit. Confusedhock:

Apart from that, no matter how shot up you are, the landing gear will come down, in my experience so far through the years with the IL2 series.

In regard to the other faillures I listed;
If the electrical system gets hit, the flaps would get stuck, lights/instruments would fail. - even guns could not fire on some occasions.

The supercharger/turbocharger systems could get damaged/disabled - forcing you to fly below certain altitudes.

Failing hydraulics could mean jammed flaps, dropping down gear, perhaps gun faillures (idk if there were any aircraft with hydraulic gunsystems.

Anders_And's idea of oxygen damage could imply the same - the effect of blacking out would be very cool and immersive.

But I would like to see an official statement on this, in regards to Potenz' reply in this topic.
Quote:If this is not allow i think AAA have to review their rules, additions like this one should be allowed, as are not cheat or give any advantage in online play.

So, anyone around who can provide a little more insight on this? Smile
