I'd love to see the various systems able to be damaged that way, it'd make for some really challenging flying trying to get your plane down safely... and what may be water under the bridge for one could spell doom for another (hydraulic hit in a Spit would only prevent gear cycling, it could be pumped; brakes and flaps were pneumatic... in the later Spiteful, all three were hydraulic).
