Hi hammond67 ,

Device RADEON 9200 SE Family (Microsoft Corporation)
TnL Yes
Pixel shader 1.4
Vertex shader 1.1
Driver ati2dvag.dll
Version 6.14.10.6462
VendorId 4098
DeviceId 22884
Memory 128.0 MB

I used to play few years back with Ati Radeon 9200 256MB PCI version
and it was somewhat ok with the older versions of IL2 up to Forgotten Battles
but since IL2 1946 version , there is no way you can play 1946 version with this card
which is even slower than was mine back in time as you have SE slower edition
unless you're playing low resolution excellent settings .

My was one of the last modified Radeon's 9200 series with new processing stuff:

Ati Xtasy 9200 256MB PCI
240MHz Core
256MB DDR Memory
128-bit memory Interface !! ( that was something fast many years ago  )
Memory Clock: 200MHz ( 400MHz DDR )
4 rendering pipelines
1.1 bilion pixels per second ( Wow !! comparing to these days cards )
Fully programmable pixel and vertex shaders
Hi-RES 32-bit , 3D Gaming up to 2048x1536
DirectX9

It could run Forgotten Battles game version in perfect settings with water only @ 1
pretty comfortably but IL2 1946 must be a murder fo such a slow 9200 SE card .
Even thou I've had PCI version , it was better rendering power and it easily
kept up with AGP older 9200 Radeons .

If you're getting many crashes , it's also likely due to 9200 SE card unable to cope with
such graphics demand from IL-1946 not to mention mods .

I am sorry hammond67 , I know what it took to play even wih more powerful modified
Ati Radeon 9200 back in old times

Another thing is:
RAM
Total 512 MB

That is next to nothing , XP need almost that much RAM just to ba able to be running .
System need some serious updates at least more RAM if nothing else .

Sincerely,
HolyGrail
