But I did go into game and test the original sounds vs. fire rate. I even took video and slowed it down. Can't see any problems with the original sounds and fire rate. But this is like Burger King, so you can have it your way! :wink:

Well...the matching up of the sound and the animation is one consideration, but my first thought was that the "MG 17" had a rate of fire at 1200 RPM. Which was the same as the MG 42...the MG42 had a very recognizable sound (one that is similar to the "stock" mg sound). The Allied 303 (Browning), found on the Spitfire & Hurricane, had a rate of fire at 350 RPM. Too me, the sound you first offered sounded more like an Allied Browning then a German MG17.... 1200 RPM vs 350 RPM.
I know the MG 42 is NOT an MG 17, but they have the same rate of fire per minute (1200)...
