Thanks XR-A
I really would like to run the Mod activator since I like to use the original engine sounds. I don't have the Spit XIV installed. As a matter of fact with the exception of the Bf 109 E1, all planes installed are the ones included in UI 1.1.1. No other newer plane or mod of existing is installed.
I have disabled the Bf 109 E1 in all pertaining areas: folder, air.ini, plane_ru.properties and the crash is still there.
I have done the same test in three other PCs with the same effect.
As an additional comment, the AC installer 3.0 (mod activator option) is working fine.
I have a hunch that the problem lies within the mod activator option of the AC installer since I don't see any reports of the same kind and people that want the original engine sounds are in the silent minority
Update:
My hunch is getting more confirmed: I just switched my IL2mod to pure UI 1.11 and installed the AC_installer 3.3, option #6, and it is loading fine.
So there has to be a conflict in the #option 4 (Mod activator). I wish I new more to investigate myself
