Well the system in summer 1943 was a rised emergency power in the first gear up to 1000 meters.
the loading pressure in the normal emergency power was 1.42 ata. the ingeneers rised the loading pressure up to 1.65 ata but they had to boost more gasoline into the cylinders because the mixture whould get too lean (mixture depletion) and this whould cause a massive overheating and it whould kill the engine finaly.
In the part 7 of the handbook FW 190A-5/A-6 (August 1943) you can read this on page 13. It is just an additive injection. So the main gasoline type is C3 because it is written that the gasoline for the additive injection is coming from the main tanks.
