Probably the wrong place but can someone help a newbie?

I've got 4.09m with UI1.1 installed, and I'd like to see this Malta map, along with a few others!

After I've installed a map, what do I do to actually fly on it? They don't appear in QMB, and now I've installed QMB+ that doesn't appear to be the magic bullet either.

Do I have to open the map in FMB, add an aircraft at a specific location, save it as a quick mission and then load it in QMB+?

Just want to check I've understood it right - I was kind of thinking I'd install QMB+, select my new map and an aircraft and off I would go. It seems not!

jeff, you need to access FMB from within the game, select the new map you want to fly in, then select your aircraft, either on a runway or in the air, add a few wp's, make sure you tick the "flyable" box on the first aircraft, then select "save as"; single mission/GB/Spitfire, or whatever you are flying.

Which raises another point - you will have to go in the il-2 1946 game folder/missions/single missions/GB - then you'll notice that there is no Spitfire folder in there (well what do you expect from Oleg Maddox :roll: - balance? ) Anyway create a new folder like Spitfire V, and save your new mission in that; ie jeff_SpitfireV_1.mis. You can reload your mission any time from inside the FMB and add enemy aircraft etc.

Then go into "SINGLE MISSIONS"/GB/Spitfire V (or whatever) and load your own mission. Don't forget to give it a name when in FMB!
