Very slightly OT: Is there away of mking the default skin,one of the various Navy skins already downloaded...can I justmake a copy of it & retitle it default?

Here you go:

1) Go to QMB and select the skin you want to set as default.
2) Exit game and go to your /PaintSchemes/Cache directory.
3) Find the folder of the relevant plane, in your case F2F9_Panther.
4) Copy the tga files that you'll find there.
5) Go to your /MODS/F9F2 Panther/3DO/Plane/F9F2/summer directory and paste them there, overwriting the existing ones.
You are done, the next time you'll fly the Panther, the default skin will be the one you've selected. 8)
