All the advice is good here.
But how I learned to land the B-17, and for takeoffs and landings for that matter in any other airplane, is to watch how th AI pilots do it.
They ain't dumb. In fact, they're better than me :mrgreen:
Fly a B-17 coop as a gunner and just use external views to watch what they do.
They engage landing flaps only when the "field is made".
As a passenger you'll still be able to see your speedbar. Take note of it.
