As mentioned by Mandrill Waggel is working on a Western European map. Maybug also on more or less the same area. Asheshouse made one (or two?) maps of Western Europe (Northern France, Belgium, Netherlands) and of course Canonuk with his version of BoB.
I don't think it's very popular among many map makers 'cause it is very labour intensive because of all the cities, roads, railways, bridges etc.
