Hi folks.
I've had just about enough hassles with this flippin' buttons file in the past, and it looks like its not over yet!
The story: I had plenty issues with the buttons on my UI 1.0 install, and eventually thought I had it all smoothed out before venturing onto 1.1.
With my UI1.1 install, I've kept it clean, only a few AAA planes, I'll post my air.ini shortly.
The last update I did was AC installer 3.4, at which point I added the Fairey Battle, Spit Mk XIV's. I've learnt to wait and watch a few days after a new release, just to see if there are problems. I haven't installed any other planes, so today I thought I'd try the F9F2 Panther. Before installing, I see it needs new AC installer 3.5. Okay. By default, I first run the AC installer to a temp folder, to make sure of what is going to be installed. Its the new buttons file.
Having a look at the size of the new buttons file - it's 818kb.
Having a look at my current buttons file - its 854kb !!!!
Alarm bells go off! This won't work. I'm losing data with this 'update!
So, I duly try it anyway, and sure enough, a 60% CTD!
So, even without adding any new entries into the air.ini, the new AC installer crashes my game!
I have a look at my AC installer 2.4, and see that it 814kb in size!
So, where on earth do I get the buttons file of 854kb that I'm currently using?
Like I said, I've added no other AC other than what you'll see in my plane_ru.properties, next post.
