Hi Humberto, I will do my best to try and help figure out what the problem is. 
The 2 most obvious things that may cause this type of problem are screen resolution and your DPI settings.
I understand from your post that you have already tried adjusting your resolution, but just to reconfirm so I can be clear, the minimum resolution required for MM to run successfully is 1024x768 or greater.
Secondly, MM has been designed for 96 DPI and the default installation is set for this. If you are running 120 DPI and have installed for 96 you will be experiencing strange and undesirable windows graphics especially with the map scaling.
