Photos from BIAF 2009 (Picture Heavy!!)
#1

Hey folks! I wanted to share some photos I made a week ago at the 2009 BIAF (Bulgarian International Aircraft Festival). It can't compare to the large shows (Farnborough, Le Bourges) but for a local affair it's quite decent! This year the show was held at the helicopter base at Krumovo, also the site of the National Musuem of Aviation, so this gave me an opportunity to take some photos of "warbird" planes. Besides, this year was special, because our Air Force finally managed to get some funds to participate in the airshow.... and they were amazing!

Too bad I messed most of the photos (I haven't shot anything in months due to some personall issues...) but at least I hope you'll like what you see - some of the pieces are unique! Big Grin

The only complete surviving Tu-2T (torpedo-bomber version):

One of the few surviving Arado Ar-196 floatplanes (yep, this one is actually a war vet! Big Grin ):

Sadly, the last domestic bird, the LAZ-7m...

And finally, my "personal" crate, an all-metal Yak-9U (-9P):

Here's hoping (sorry, I'm hijacking the thread to make a request Smile ) that some of the talented modders will add the advanced DAR-3 biplane or KB-11, that also fought in the war...
